Women in Science – Isabelle Marcotte

In Canada, women represent less than a quarter of the workforce in science and technology.

To promote accessibility to higher education, break down stereotypes and stimulate the interest of young women in scientific fields, the Faculty of Sciences of UQAM presents this series of portraits of WOMEN IN SCIENCE.

Born in Montreal, Isabelle discovered oceanographic research at UQAR during her bachelor’s degree. Guided by her curiosity, she follows the trail of surfactants which leads her to pursue studies in chemistry at Laval University.
