Discovery grants 2019-2020
Two NanoQAM member researchers were awarded grants in the most recent Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Discovery Grant Program competition, the results of which were announced last spring. The grants for this program are spread over five years.
Steen Schougaard
Prof. Steen Schougaard, obtained a discovery grant (individual category) for his research project: “In situ methods and new materials for study of electrochemical energy storage processes.”
Mohamed Siaj
Pr. Mohamed Siaj, with Pr. Daniel Bélanger, Mathieu Frenette, Daniel Guay (INRS-EMT), Ricardo Izquierdo and Mohamed Mohamedi (INRS-EMT), obtained a research tools and instruments grant for his research project : “In situ spectroelectrochemistry system with polarization-modulated infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy.”
