New ATR accessory “Smart iTR”

Characterization of any type of sample

Associate Professor Daniel Chapdelaine recently acquired an ATR Thermo Scientific Smart iTR Sampling Accessory. This “Smart iTR” module allows the characterization of all types of samples (liquid, solids, plates, powders, etc.) while reducing their preparation to the strict minimum.

Instrument properties

This one is equipped with 2 types of crystals: one in diamond for the characterization of the most common samples, and one in ZnSe for the characterization of the darkest samples, like carbon for example. Professor Daniel Chadelaine has made this “Smart iTR” module available to the entire scientific community.

Future uses

The module is currently in operation on one of the equipment supported by the NanoQAM Research Center. Those interested in the autonomous use of this “Smart iTR” module must imperatively follow a training course with Dr. Gwenaël Chamoulaud.
