Materials Printer at NanoQAM

Materials Printer

Professor Ricardo Izquierdo of the Department of Computer Science at UQAM and the NanoQAM research center have just made their Materials printer available to different academic and industrial players in the fields of nanotechnologies and microelectronics.

Instrument properties

This Dimatix Material Printer (DMP) is a cost-effective and easy-to-use precision material deposition system. This materials printer is ideal for: developing methods for depositing materials and fluids, studying the interactions between liquids and substrates or studying and optimizing deposits of biological liquids, including proteomic deposition, patterns cell or DNA chips. This printer, using piezoelectric cartridges with “ink jet”, allows the deposition of fluent materials on surfaces of 8×11 inches or in A4 format.

Future uses

Anyone interested in using this material printer must first undergo training with Mr. Menouer Saidani.
