New research grants

NSERC 2018-2019 Grants

Four professors who are members of NanoQAM obtained one hundred and sixty five thousand dollars in the 2018-2019 grant competition of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the results of which were made public in early May 2019 The funds will be paid annually to researchers over a five-year period. They are part of the Discovery Grants Program – Individual Category (RGPIN) and the Tools and Research Instruments Grant Program (OIR).

Steve Bourgault

Pr. Steve Bourgault, obtained a grant in the amount of $ 36,000 for his research project: “Manipulating amyloid self-assembly: toward the design of functionalized proteinaceous nanostructures.”

Isabelle Marcotte

Pr. Isabelle Marcotte, obtained a grant in the amount of $ 64,000 for her research project: “Interactions in complex biological systems by nuclear magnetic resonance.”

Ali Nazemi

Prof. Ali Nazemi, when he obtained a grant in the amount of $ 29,000 for his research project entitled: “Multifunctional Hybrid Nanomaterials: Development to Biomedical Applications.”

René Roy

Finally, Prof. René Roy obtained a grant in the amount of $ 36,000 for his research project: “Design of nanomolecular glycotherapeutics.”
