Description of the instrument
Centrifugal coating or spin coating or spin coating (better known by its English name of spin coating) is a technique of forming a thin and uniform layer, by depositing a solution of the film substance, on the flat surface of a substrate that rotates at high speed. The main applications of centrifugal coating are in microelectronics. The machine used for this operation is called spin coater or spinner in English. The device is located in a clean room.
