ZetaSizer instrument
A new acquisition
NanoQAM has just made available to the various academic and industrial players in the fields of nanotechnology a new ZetaSizer instrument. This apparatus makes it possible to carry out measurements of the distribution of the particle size, the Zeta potential, and the concentration of the particles.
Instrument Properties
The Zetasizer Ultra is a combined DLS and ELS system that incorporates Non-Invasive Backscatter (NIBS) and Multi-Angle Dynamic Light Scattering (MADLS) technology, for particle and molecule size measurement. NIBS allows measurements to be made over a wide concentration range, while MADLS allows better resolution of the particle size distribution of samples. The MADLS extension available on the Zetasizer Ultra Red Label offers the possibility of directly analyzing the concentration of particles.
Key features of the Zetasizer Ultra include:
- Multi-angle dynamic light scattering (MADLS) for particle and molecule size distribution analysis
- Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) for measuring the size of particles and molecules from 0.3 nm to 10 μm
- Laser Doppler electrophoresis (ELS) for measuring the zeta potential of particles and molecules
- Simple concentration measurements for each population (Red Label only)
